The OneVoice Director’s Symposium is a brand new event that coincides with our annual A Cappella Invitational.  Directors of groups from all ages and abilities are invited to attend and learn from some of the top experts in the world in an intimate, interactive, small-group format.

Join directors from around the country on Friday and Saturday April 19-20, 2024. Located on our sprawling, collegiate style campus outside of Memphis, TN, this brand new Director’s Symposium is designed to give you access to the top a cappella professionals with expertise in all areas of the craft.  Learn from the top pros in a cappella through small format, directors-only roundtable learning sessions.  Sit in on open masterclasses with middle school, high school, and college groups.  Ask detailed questions pertaining to your specific group and program.  Experience some of the most impactful groups performing today in our state-of-the-art performing arts center.  Walk away with the tools and wisdom to take your group to the next level.

Learn current best practices, ask questions about your group, glean from other directors perspectives, and gain valuable insight in our director roundtables. These are small-format, directors-only discussions on topics like rehearsal strategies, solo/belting technique, vocal percussion coaching, bass coaching, approaching live sound, and best practices for recording.

Watch some of the top clinicians in the country work with some of the best groups in the country through our open masterclasses.

Enjoy some of the most exciting a cappella groups today performing full sets on our world-class stage with professional lights, sound, and video.

Schedule

Ideally, you'll need to arrive by Friday evening at 6:30 PM for the opening concert. Sessions start at 9 PM Saturday morning and run all day, followed by the closing concert at 7 PM Saturday night.

Cost of
participation

Directors Symposium cost is $150 per director.

For this first year, we want to keep costs as low as possible to encourage directors to come.  Registration cost includes all activities on campus. It does not include travel, lodging, or food costs.
